Ile de Ré

Discover this “island treasure” off the coast of La Rochelle on a day trip between the islands.

You will walk or bike its 3 km length and 700 m width, taking in the landscapes at your own pace. A day filled with history—Napoleon spent his last days here before departing for Saint Helena—swimming, and fishing. The pearl of the Charente estuary is a classified remarkable natural site.

During your crossing from La Rochelle, you’ll approach Fort Boyard, the mythical structure in the middle of the ocean.

Ile d’Oléron

Located off the French Atlantic coast, it is the largest metropolitan island after Corsica. The island’s historical heritage is also remarkable, with sites like Fort Boyard and the Chassiron Lighthouse.
